Head First Acrobats turn up the heat at the Adelaide Fringe with the unmissable all-male circus spectacular ‘Elixir Revived.’

Cheeky, a little raunchy but always entertaining, ‘Elixir Revived’ beautifully combines traditional circus acts with dramatic storytelling, physical comedy and world-class athleticism (with a touch of 'Magic Mike' thrown in for good measure) to create a unique circus experience that will capture your imagination. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the show follows four scientists searching for the Elixir of Life. With hope fading fast, the men decide to test their concoctions on themselves, unleashing a string of chaotic events that will leave audiences begging for more.

Part theatre production, part circus, ‘Elixir Revived’ begins with a bang in an adrenaline-filled, cinematic opening sequence that immediately captures attention and from there, the show only gets better. Designed to entertain, amaze and showcase the performers' incredible strength and abilities; each fast-paced routine is flawlessly executed by the talented cast and performed to a soundtrack of songs that perfectly capture the frantic energy of the show.

Cal Harris appears to defy the laws of physics as he haphazardly balances on everyday objects in an impressive display of strength and equilibrium. Thomas Gorham showcases his incredible breakdancing skills and leads the men in a truly thrilling performance that pays homage to one of the greatest dance routines of all times. Liam Dummer defies gravity in a superbly-crafted aerial routine which was at times, nerve-wracking to watch; while AJ (Anthony Saltalamacchia) brings a healthy dose of humour to the production and shows off his extraordinary knife throwing abilities.

Individually, the men are charismatic entertainers who clearly enjoy the reaction their mischievous antics receive from the audience. But it’s when they perform together that the real hilarity ensues as they channel their inner Stooge for a series of slapstick-inspired comedy moments that are sure to tickle your funny bone. From cheeky innuendos to stunning displays of skill and trust, audiences can expect the unexpected when these four come together and they are clearly enjoying themselves as they leap, tumble and race across the stage.

Escapism at its finest, ‘Elixir Revived’ will set pulses racing in more ways than one and is a show you will want to see again and again.
