Reuben Kaye Set To Sizzle At QPAC In Brisbane

Reuben Kaye
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

After a solid run of shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), Perth’s Fringe World, Adelaide Fringe and Brisbane’s MELT Festival, cabaret icon Reuben Kaye returns to Brisbane in ‘The Kaye Hole’.

A late-night, adults only affair, ‘The Kaye Hole’ is a cabaret variety show flexing Reuben’s stunning vocals, backed by a live band and supporting performances from some of Brisbane’s best live acts.

Reuben will host each performance, delivering a rich, cultural critique layered with word play, double and single entendre. He has toured the world – picking up Best Cabaret awards at Perth’s Fringe World and Adelaide Fringe in 2021. He was also nominated in the Most Outstanding Show at MICF and has enjoyed standing ovations and sold-out shows.

Reuben has hand-picked Brisbane-based circus, burlesque, drag, dance and music acts to showcase in ‘The Kaye Hole’ as part of its season at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in January/February 2022. This line-up includes cabaret chanteuse Tina Del Twist, aerialist and contortionist Ashleigh Roper, performance poet and beatboxer Hope One, drag artists/dancers Luna Thicc and the THICC Shake Crew, and more.

Tickets are on sale now.

‘The Kaye Hole’ plays Queensland Performing Arts Centre 6 January-12 February 2022.
