Immersive, urban festival RE//PERTH is almost here – set to take over and ignite the heart of Perth this July and presented by ARTRAGE.
RE//PERTH will transform forgotten spaces across Northbridge and beyond, into hubs of artistic expression and cultural engagement. The programme features more than 30 free and ticketed hot winter events – a mouth-watering menu of arts paired with world-class wine, seasonal delicacies, and multi-genre music.
It’s a diverse, accessible selection of events spanning from dance, to music. . . To fashion, to food. . . To gaming and the arts – there’s something for everyone.
Highlights including an atmospheric rooftop installation from Luke Jaaniste called Unfurling Of The Cosmos; a celebration of BIPOC, trans and queer self-expression in The Y3K Ball honouring 1960s Harlem ballroom culture; the RE//Birth Dusk Sessions, the festival’s eclectic music programme featuring live VJing and extraordinary live music with a stellar line-up; a journey through Western Australia’s esteemed wine regions with a tasting tour in RE//VINED, guided by sommelier Foni Pollitt and comedian James Hancox; and ‘Never Too Small’ In Conversation with Colin Chee, a discussion on small footprint design and living.
The festival is categorised into spaces – RE//Flection, RE//Birth, RE//Purpose, and RE//Play. Each offers unique and engaging experiences for all ages.
Critically acclaimed producers Gravity & Other Myths will present a WA exclusive premiere event, ‘The Mirror’, set to elevate winter visitation to the city with world-class performances and immersive storytelling.
“RE//PERTH is a celebration of creativity and community, and we are excited to bring this new urban arts festival to life. With a rich programme of events catering to all ages, we invite everyone to join us in exploring the wonderment of RE//PERTH,” ARTRAGE CEO Jo Thomas says.
“The fantastic ARTRAGE team started working on this new Festival as soon as we wrapped up Fringe World. We know how to bring creative energy and artistic fun to the city and RE//PERTH will be another great offering for the state.”
RE//PERTH is on from 4-14 July.
