Pop culture, pop music and gaming are three of Jesse’s biggest passions. Lady Gaga, Real Housewives and The Sims can almost sum him up – but he also adores a night at the cinema or a trip to the theatre.

Queensland Theatre Company has revealed their 2017 season as well as a name change, now being known simply as Queensland Theatre.

Artistic director Sam Strong will take charge for the first time, lining up nine stand-out shows beginning with the Helpmann Award-winning 'Ladies In Black' and closing with an adaptation of the classic 'Scenes From A Marriage'.

"Queensland Theatre Company was founded nearly 50 years ago," Sam says. "It's time for the next chapter in our story. The new name and identity reflects our commitment to the heath of the state's whole creative culture."

New Associate Artistic Director Paige Rattray has also been introduced to the Queensland Theatre team. Sam describes her as "one of Australia's most dynamic directors", and she will join the National Artistic Team of the company.
