Brisbane audiences will be treated to a host of heart-warming storytelling, fabulous songs and entertaining antics when the 'Queensland Cabaret Festival' returns for its second year.
Applications are now open for artists to take part in the programme of international and Australian performers in June next year.
Co-creative producer Kris Stewart says she's excited to be working on next year's event after this year's reception was so good. “With 'Queensland Cabaret Festival' the aim was to continue the decade-long story of 'Brisbane Cabaret Festival' and to expand it to be a bigger collaboration across a variety of venues.
“This year we had over 30 artists perform and an attendance of over 6,000 people across 5 venues in 12 days. It exceeded our expectations for the first year and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into next year and deliver another dose of glamour, humour and drama to Queensland audiences in 2015.”
Brisbane Powerhouse will again present the festival in collaboration with Queensland Performing Arts Centre, The Arts Centre Gold Coast, Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts, Ipswich Civic Centre and Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
The 'Queensland Cabaret Festival' will be held from the 8th to the 14th June 2015. Submissions are open until the 30th November.
