'MILLENNIAL: Hits Of The 90s And 00s'

The current trend on social media might be to throw it back to 2016, but according to award-winning performer, Lisa Woodbrook, the '90s and '00s is really where it’s at.

The Perth-based singer and songwriter is paying tribute to the era with her hit show, 'MILLENNIAL: Hits Of The 90s And 00s' which she will be performing for the first time in South Australia at this year’s Adelaide Fringe.

Described as part stand-up comedy and part musical extravaganza, 'MILLENNIAL: Hits Of The 90s And 00s' features Woodbrook and her back-up dancers Ashleigh Perrie and Jesse Waghorn taking audiences on a trip down memory lane, with show-stopping renditions of iconic tunes by the likes of Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Hilary Duff and many more.

“The '90s and '00s were such an iconic time. There are so many incredible artists and bangers that emerged from that period and there’s a reason those songs have remained so popular to this day”, Woodbrook says. “This show is filled with so much nostalgia and we found audiences have really enjoyed going on a trip back in time and reliving when they first listened to these songs. Whether it was at their school disco or on the dance floor in a nightclub.”

'MILLENNIAL: Hits Of The 90s And 00s' first premiered at Fringe World Perth in 2025 to rave reviews from audiences and critics. After an initial sold out season, Woodbrook added an encore season and then took the show to Wynnum Fringe before remixing it for 2026.

“We’ve given the show a bit of a remix and have added even more epic numbers and shaken up the choreography,” Lisa describes. “As artists, Ash, Jesse and I are always looking at ways to grow and challenge ourselves. We’ve added a new Celine number which is a lot of fun and we’ve also enhanced the country section of the show. We hope to get some people in the crowd to come up and do some line dancing with us and just to get up on their feet and sing along. There’s just so many good songs from that era – so we just couldn’t help ourselves to add more.”

Woodbrook is a Fringe favourite having previously performed her hit shows, 'It’s Not Me, It’s Definitely You' at Adelaide, Perth and Edinburgh Fringe. 2026 marks the first time Woodbrook has performed in South Australia since 2024, and also the first time she has performed 'MILLENNIAL' in the state.

“I’m so excited to be coming back to Adelaide for Fringe. I did a week in Gluttony in 2024 and now we are back with 'MILLENNIAL' at the King Fisher and Adelaide is going to absolutely eat up this musical, dance, comedy spectacular. The culture is amazing here and the audiences always bring such big energy in Adelaide. I’m also really looking forward to just performing the show for new audiences and to be at a bigger Fringe surrounded by other artists and creatives.”
