All aboard a vintage steam train at the Adelaide Showgrounds for a brand-new show.
Presented by One Eye Open, 'Express' is a little bit naughty and a little bit nice, a show encompassing vocal, dance, intrigue and visual delight build around all the extravagant and twisted personalities jumping on board the train.
One Eye Open was formed and established during COVID-19 with the intention of supporting performers in the industry. Throughout the pandemic artists were forced to relocate which presented challenges regarding postponements, cancellations and closures. Australian Company Of Performing Arts Director Kim Grant-Taylor decided to step in after witnessing this.
"It was important to me that we kept the arts alive. To see the effect COVID had on so many performers, broke my heart and I wanted to make sure there was something to keep them inspired," Kim says.
And so, One Eye Open was designed, with 'Express' being their first show. 'Express' features a team of local producers and a soundtrack of original music.
'Express' plays 4-7 February at Adelaide Showgrounds.
