The 2018 programme for NOOSA Alive! has been announced.
Over 10 days and nights, Noosa will be brought to life with glamour, music, theatre and fun. There will be three world premiere performances, six Australian premiere/preview performances and five Queensland premiere performances.
"We make an effort every single year to keep raising the bar on delivering the best of culture to community. We believe in supreme quality of experience on every level and we aim for at least one first every year, something new and exciting to sustain our edge!", Ian Mackellar, NOOSA Alive! Festival Director says in his tenth year.

The J Theatre Series
The J Theatre is a great venue to stage quality events in an intimate setting, with performances by Blake Bowden in 'Straight From The Heart', Queensland premiere performances of 'Marjorie Prime' and 'Ida Girls' and a new contemporary work by Queensland Ballet. You can also expect to see Idea Of North presenting 'Groove Sessions', a journey through music and film in 'Dangerous Song' and much more.
Noosa Arts Theatre Series
Getting into a bit of cabaret won't be a hard task at the Noosa Arts Theatre. Soak up the ultimate cabaret trifecta in Michael Griffiths and Amelia Ryan, Carlotta, and Stephen Curry. Each of these three performances will bring its own interpretation of world-class cabaret to NOOSA Alive!. 'Disenchanted', the hit musical, will take centre stage in association with Mad About Theatre in its Australian premiere and the National One Act Playwriting Competition will celebrate its 41st year.
Food & Culture Events
As mentioned earlier, Stephen Curry will perform an evening of music combined with food and wine at the Noosa Waterfront. Additional waterfront food shows feature Carlotta and Mike McClellan. You can also treat your tastebuds at Asian Infusion Embassy XO, Duck Waddle on Hastings and a slow food and film event showcasing the iconic film 'Paris Can't Wait'.
Festival Of Literature & Forum
After being shortlisted twice for the prestigious Miles Franklin Award, novelist Dorothy Johnston will be at NOOSA Alive! to talk about her latest novel 'The Swan Island Connection'. Other authors speaking will be Diana Thompson and Sarah Dowse. Thought forums include Whither Australia's Energy Future and Paul Barclay in conversation with Peter Greste.
The Noosa Orchestra will present a programme of musical favourites, 'A Vaudeville Affair' at Pomona Majestic theatre will celebrate love and creative inspiration and Hot 91.1's FIRE IN THE SKY will prove to be hours of family fun and impressive fireworks.
