Night Feast is coming back to Brisbane, this time reimagined for winter and pairing immersive art with bold dining, and an exclusive long lunch experience.
The 2026 event dates mark a bold new chapter for the festival, bringing cooler nights and hotter plates to the Brisbane Powerhouse precinct. . . First, warmth and longer evenings at its heart.
It’s the ultimate Night Feast experience, inviting audiences to fully immerse themselves in a world of food, art and music, paired with a season made for cosy outdoor dining. Attendees can, as usual, expect boundary-pushing menus, festival-exclusive dishes, and immersive art concepts in 2026.
You can also take a seat at Better Off Red, an indulgent, one-day-only Long Lunch in collaboration with Brisbane eateries Bosco and Blackbird. Better Off Red unites bold flavours, breathtaking performances and artful theatrics in a celebration of all things crimson.
Better Off Red, set to transform the Performance Lawn space, has been crafted by some of Australia’s most exciting culinary talents, including Simon Hill from Newstead’s open-fire Mediterranean, Bosco, and Jake Nicholson, Executive Chef at Blackbird Brisbane.
The menu has been designed to be savoured slowly. Think jamón serrano with fire-roasted peppers and migas, grilled tiger prawns with romesco and chorizo glazed in hard cider. There’s Angus rib eye carved off the bone with red wine jus, and wood barbecued cumin-spiced spring lamb with quince and mint.

“As if Night Feast wasn’t indulgent enough, Better Off Red is an opportunity to push things even further,” Simon Hill says. “By bringing together the very best of Bosco and Blackbird and dialling every culinary element up to its fullest expression, Better Off Red will be a bold, multi-sensory food and wine experience that’s set to become a true centrepiece of the festival.”
Plus, there’ll be a series of unexpected live performances sure to bring together the day of pure indulgence, in every shade.
“For my first season at the helm of Night Feast, we wanted to challenge the traditional festival format by introducing a truly visceral, daylight dimension to our programme,” Brisbane Powerhouse CEO and Artistic Director Louise Bezzina says. “Better Off Red is more than a long lunch; it is a theatrical collision of fine dining and performance art that embodies the Night Feast spirit, even under the midday sun. By bringing together culinary heavyweights like Simon Hill and Jake Nicolson, we are offering our guests an intimate, all-sensory experience that bridges the gap between plate and stage. It’s bold, it’s crimson and it’s just a taste of the new direction we’re taking for Night Feast this year.”
Night Feast is on at the Brisbane Powerhouse precinct from 29 July-23 August.
