With new and astonishing illusions, Maho Magic Bar by Broad Encounters is returning to Melbourne, as part of the brand-new Spiegel Haus Melbourne.
Starring fresh tricksters, tricks and cocktails, Maho Magic Bar will once again jet audiences straight to a neon-lit Tokyo night, with all the mischief, mayhem, cocktails and laughter you could wish for. To enter is to find yourself in an intimate, bespoke space, where your every sense will be stimulated.
Take a seat, grab a drink, and get ready to be wowed, as the best in Japan’s superstar sleight-of-hand specialists perform exclusive magic shows at your table.
Audiences will get to watch these masters at work close up, as they put a wild, contemporary spin on magic traditions dating back to Japan’s Edo period. Here, the line-up of magical masters include some beloved favourites, ready to show off new tricks, and some new faces, each with their own kooky repertoire.

“Maho Magic Bar found a home in Melbourne in 2023 and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be bringing it back this spring with a fresh line-up of prodigies who each bring oodles of charm and contemporary sleight-of-hand flair,” Broad Encounters Creative Director Kirsten Siddle says.
“You couldn’t ask for a better night out in ‘Tokyo’ without leaving Melbourne!”
All of this goes down at Spiegel Haus Melbourne, a new, two-level entertainment precinct in the heart of the city with multiple performances venues and a rooftop bar and lounge.
Tickets are on sale now.
Maho Magic Bar is on at Spiegel Haus Melbourne 25 November-15 February.
