Drawing inspiration from Vivid Sydney, the Southern Hemisphere’s brightest light show, Illuminate Sydney at Madame Tussauds is an interactive space, where celebrity magic meets urban illumination.
Australian social media stars Luke and Sassy Scott ceremoniously snipped the silver ribbon to unveil Illuminate Sydney.
“It is truly inspired by Vivid, you get to walk around the interactive areas and you’re able to control the lights – it’s like you’re in charge of Sydney,” Luke says.
“I have never seen a wax figure before in my life,” Scott adds. “I’ve met Chris Hemsworth in person and that is identical to him.”
Those in attendance are treated to a feast for the senses – there’s an illuminated Sydney sign, and a glowing walkway. . . Plus, Cate Blanchett awaits in the VIP lounge, the perfect spot to chill out before striking a pose with the likes of Ryan Gosling and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“It's not just the walls that are lit up; our A-list celebs have had their own glow-ups too! Decked out in fresh threads, they’re red carpet-ready and set to steal the spotlight,” Madame Tussauds Sydney Head Of Operations Chris Harvey says.
The curved LED wall and the Sydney Opera House model are where the real magic happens. This is where guests can take control of the lights and projections, and things transform with every flicker!
“If you've ever dreamt of lighting up the city, now's your moment!” Chris continues. “At Madame Tussauds Sydney, guests get the chance to control the lights and transform the iconic Sydney skyline even projecting artwork onto the sails of a model Sydney Opera House.”
Illuminate is now open at Madame Tussauds Sydney.
