The queen of stiletto and falsetto is back for a royal re-run.
The flamboyance and fabulousness is real, and after a less-than-ideal year (including but of course not limited to an HIV diagnosis, lost work, ineligibility for government support), the defiant Leather Lungs is prepared to fight whatever comes next and will rise triumphantly to entertain audiences in 'Yas Queen'.
The award-winning cabaret artist (and alter ego of triple threat Jason Chasland) will bring to the stage all the kings and queens you love to belt along to – Prince, Aretha Franklin, Queen. . . It's equal parts outrageous innuendo and heartfelt story.
Leather Lungs' range spans across four octaves, and he has sung for the Beckhams, toured internationally and performed as a vocalist for the iconic Adele during her 2017 tour – so the show is sure to please your mum, your gran, and the whole office at work. But a word of warning: it's probably best to leave the kids at home for this one!
Leather Lungs was raised in New Zealand but now proudly calls Australia home.
“Adelaide has become my second home for shows and once again I am thrilled we get to come back and share in the madness and magic of Fringe with the amazing Adelaide audiences!”
After winning the BankSA Weekly Best Cabaret Award, it's safe to say this 'Kwazzie' (Kiwi-Aussie) is amped up and ready for another fabulous Fringe.
'Yas Queen' plays Ukiyo at Gluttony – Rymill Park (Adelaide Fringe) 9-21 March.
