"There's nothing more exciting than gathering a group of talented people together for a cause greater than all of us."
Jungle Heart is an exhibition of original artworks by Australian artists joining the fight for conservation in Borneo. A percentage of sales from the artwork will be going to WWF Australia to help fund their work protecting Borneo's rainforests and conserving endangered species such as the orangutan. So naturally, the artists involved are not only passionate about what they do, but who are also passionate about contributing to society, the world, and the environment.
Opening last night at Southside Tea Room, the night was an incredible success and organiser and curator Camille Nathania Santiago is over the moon that more than half of the artworks sold. If you want to get your hands on some cool orangutan-inspired art, you better get there real quick. The remaining pieces are still available for sale over the weekend and after the exhibition is over, so keep an eye out on their Facebook page if your weekend is already booked up.
Jungle Heart Exhibition is on until Sunday June 8 at Southside Tea Room.
