In further good news as more green shoots continue to emerge in our music and arts scene, Brisbane Festival will go ahead this spring; 4-26 September.
"You. Us. September. We're going to fill Brisbane with live art," Brisbane Festival proclaim about their 2020 programme, which drops on 28 July; stay tuned for updates. While we wait to hear more from BF, they want anyone who lives in a cul-de-sac in the Brisbane City Council area and who wants to reconnect with surrounding community after months of isolation to nominate their street for a once-in-a-lifetime exclusive experience. Another BF initiate is Working Title, an incubator for new creations to be housed at Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.
With the support of the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, Brisbane Festival will back ten bold, new creations made by Queensland artists and companies.
The residency programme will find artists embarking on creative adventures to develop and present works ready for future Brisbane Festivals.
