'How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse' combines scripted scenes with improvisation for an unpredictable experience and life lesson.
Here, the team behind the show list five little-known skills when it comes to zombie survival.
One
Dress for Success; surviving the zombie apocalypse is not all about physical strength and mental prowess. You need to look good while you’re kicking some serious zombie butt. Performing an impressive roundhouse kick in your snappy three-piece suit is bound to attract more survivors to your team, who you will need to survive.
Two
Record your kills on video and replay them back in slow motion; this is a must for motivating your team. A well-executed kill played back in slow motion makes you look like a badass and will aid in recruiting talent from other wandering bands of humans. If possible, invest in a giant projector screen to attract as many as possible.
Three
Learn to play chess. You'll need lots of people on your team in order to survive the zombie apocalypse. You are the king (of course) and your survival means that your team wins. So work out who in your team is capable of jumping over things and slightly to the right, who enjoys a more diagonal approach, and who can only move short distances and is therefore expendable. . . Although be aware that one of these pawns may just become a more powerful piece with proper manoeuvring. Play a smart game.
Four
Set up several interlocking fake missions for your team. Your team needs motivation in order to keep you alive. Fill your headquarters with maps and mission plans that instil a sense of awe in your team. They’ll think you have a plan (even if you don’t) and will want to follow you.
Five
Deal with all loner survivor types immediately. As virtually every zombie movie or TV show proves, loners disrupt the team dynamic, steal your girlfriend, and lead to the demise of the entire team. They're more trouble than they're worth, and, let’s be honest, trying to have a chat with them is just hard work. Send them on a suicide mission and, if they succeed, they may just reveal themselves as a secret queen. It’s a win-win strategy.
