Dear diary: ‘Heathers The Musical’ is coming to Australia.
Following record-breaking seasons in London and New York, the award-winning musical opens down under in April 2026.
‘Heathers The Musical’ is a high-octane, black comedy rock production based on the 1989 film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. The tour will hit Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, and Perth. It’ll feature a stellar Australasian cast, to be announced soon.
“We are beyond excited to announce that ‘Heathers The Musical’ is coming to Australia and New Zealand next year,” acclaimed American stage and screen director Andy Fickman says.
“We can’t wait to share this twistedly heartfelt story with audiences down under. It’s a show that deals with love, heartache, sadness, defying expectations and being true to yourself. Ever since its premiere, ‘Heathers The Musical’ has been a labour of love for Larry, Kevin and me but what’s truly thrilling is how much audiences take this show to their hearts. So, get out your scrunchies and break out the Corn Nuts and join us at Westerberg High for Big Fun next year!”
