Wands at the ready Melbourne; the full cast of Australia's premiere for 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child' has been revealed.
What lies behind the invisibility cloak? Cast as 'the boy who lived' (Harry Potter) is Sydney-based actor Gareth Reeves. The actor is known for his previous roles in performances such as 'War Horse', 'The Crucible', 'The Dream', Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?', and 'Macbeth'.
Comprised of 42 talented Australian actors; joining Gareth at the helm will be Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Gyton Grantley as Ron Weasley, Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Sean Rees-Wemyss as Albus Potter, Tom Wren as Draco Malfoy and William Mckenna as Scorpius Malfoy.
Through performances in London, New York, San Francisco, and Hamburg, this latest instalment of Harry Potter has become the most awarded play in history since it's 2016 opening. Accruing 24 major awards, including 9 Oliver Awards for 'Best New Play' and 'Best Director', the show will make it's way down under for an exclusive string of performances in Melbourne this January.
