Gunhild Carling is a multi-talented jazz musician extraordinaire from Sweden. She showcases the breadth of her talents in her Adelaide Cabaret Festival show, playing several instruments with gifted finesse, including but not limited to trombone, trumpet, piano, and even bagpipes.
It makes you wonder how many other instruments she also plays that she didn’t have time to perform on the night! Gunhild is a shimmering presence, and she performs with vivacious flair and boldness. She is accompanied on this tour by local Australian musicians, and they play a variety of musical adaptations from the early jazz era, as well as some modern hits. She masterfully takes the audience through a crash course in one of her major influences, New Orleans jazz.
