GRAPHIC Storytellers Set Their Sights On Sydney

Buzz Lightyear
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

If you’re a fan of graphic novels, comic art, animation, illustration and music or have just always wanted to know what happens behind the scenes at Pixar, then GRAPHIC is the event for you.

Billed as “a weekend of graphic storytelling, animation and music”, GRAPHIC will inhabit the Sydney Opera House from 10-11 November.

Among the attractions is a discussion on the history of computer animation presented by Sydney-based, internationally acclaimed animators, Animal Logic; a musical Dr. Seuss tribute from Elefant Traks (who count Hermitude and Urthboy as part of their collective) and an insight into how Pixar works, provided by Toy Story 3 director, Lee Unkrich.

With so much talent converging over the weekend, GRAPHIC is a chance for Sydney-siders to “Meet the mythmakers of the modern world”.

GRAPHIC events include:

Pixar: Behind the Scenes
Fat Freddy’s Drop: Blackbird
Dr. Seuss meets Elefant Traks
The Good Game: ‘Roffle Cup’ Live
Animal Logic’s History of Computer Animation
Peter Bagge’s Hate! & Other Neat Stuff
Radio with Pictures
