Flipside Circus, Queensland's largest youth circus company, is proud to introduce their newest production 'Fusion'.
It embraces traditional and contemporary circus in a dynamic showcase of theatre, music, cabaret, food, comedy, and more! Presented by the Flipside Circus Performance Troupe, 'Fusion' features some of Australia’s most outstanding young circus performers in an entertaining and surprising show for audiences from 2 to 1,000 years.
Flipside Circus is committed to empowering young people to becomes cultural creators. All children should have access to the highest quality artistic experiences, as audience, participant, and collaborator. As such, the young circus artists that make up the performance troupe are involved in the development, choreography and production of their shows.
Flipside’s troupe is given a broad range of training and experience from their trainers and guest artists to create and produce new work, and of course, to perform. Flipside Circus works hard to develop circus skills from beginner right through to intermediate and 'Step Up' classes and finally our Performance Troupe. This year, some of the 'Step Up' class members have graduated to join the Performance Troupe, and 'Fusion' will be the first time these talented youngsters perform together.
Flipside is a not-for-profit organisation that provides regular classes and training at their Alderley Training Centre and right across Queensland; an artistic programme of performances by, for, and with young people; community and social circus programmes. Flipside values children and young people as cultural creators and works with a regular team of extraordinary trainers and artists as well as amazing guest trainers and artists from around Australia and the world.
