Sydney's inner-West will be lively this November as it welcomes the Glebe Street Fair and Newtown Festival.
Now in its 35th year, the community-based Newtown Festival will give locals a chance to showcase their talent — displaying artworks, gourmet foods, creative stalls and live entertainment. The event will take place on Sunday November 10, 9.30am-5.30pm at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park and asks for gold coin entry.
Adding to the fun, the Glebe Street Fair will have on offer a one kilometre stretch of market stalls, live entertainment and performances. From fashion to food, the stalls will be joined by live entertainment from musicians such as The Maybes and Angie Who, dance performances from the local Latin Dance Academy, and plenty of activities and performances for kids.
The fair will take place on Sunday November 17 from 10am-5pm on Glebe Point Road.
Sydney's Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the events were a great way for locals and tourists to experience what the region had to offer.
“These fantastic village celebrations help boost the local economy by supporting businesses, giving emerging performers a chance to showcase their talent, and offering a great day out for the whole family,” she said.
