The story of the rise and fall of legendary '60s and '70s songwriter Harry Nilsson is being told in an all new stage show 'Everybody's Talkin' 'bout me'.
The career highs and lows of the revered musician are brought to life by Tim Freedman – the front man from ARIA award winning band The Whitlams. Based around a fresh and intriguing concept – the show is the imagining of a concert that never actually happened. Interestingly, Nilsson never once performed live on stage in his entire career, choosing to perfect his craft as a studio artist instead.

Despite having never performed live, Nilsson's music touched the lives of many and even inspired some of the greatest songwriters of all time. John Lennon and Paul McCartney once described Nilsson as their “favourite American group”.
'Everybody's Talkin' 'Bout me' was a smash hit at the 2014 Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with Freedman's signature, well loved voice accompanying a captivating and intimate theatre performance.
Swilling a glass of cognac in one hand and delicately caressing piano keys with the other, Freedman effortlessly and charismatically explores the darker side of an otherwise bright and brilliant musician in a play that is both innovative and eclectic.
'Everybody's Talkin' 'Bout me' plays Hayes Theatre Co., 13-19 April.
