South Australian comedy producer and comedian Eric Tinker will debut three diverse shows, as part of this year's Fringe World in Perth.

Eric (real name Derek Tickner) is a musical comedian, improviser, photographer, cartographer and writer. He's enjoyed shows at Adelaide Fringe and the iconic Edinburgh Fringe, influenced and inspired by the likes of Spike Milligan, The Bonzo Dog Band, Steve Martin and Flight Of The Conchords.

'The Boomer And The Doomer' sees singer-songwriter, comedian and activist Mark Allen joining forces with Eric (aka MC Boomer), in a comedy show about the unfolding catastrophes facing the planet.

Then, 'Perth vs The World' pits fine WA jesters against interstate and international comics through stand-up, team games and challenges.

Finally, 'The Eric Tinker Experience' is a spotlight on the man himself: performing tracks like 'The MC Boomer Rap' and 'Cow Meditation', alongside comic riffs, and on-screen visual gags.

“I’m looking forward to putting on my shows at Fringe World for the first time,” Eric enthuses. “I’ve heard many good things about the festival and how Perth punters are very appreciative of something a bit different.”

“My shows are on the weird side. For example, 'The Boomer And The Doomer' is a sort of Theatre Of The Absurd, where Mark the doomer rants about the end of the world, with complacent boomer Eric interjecting with kooky songs and gags.”

All three shows play Cheeky Sparrow (Fringe World). 'The Boomer And The Doomer' and 'Perth vs The World' play 6-8 February, and 'The Eric Tinker Experience' plays 13 February.
