Willoughby’s (New South Wales) vibrant heart will beat a little louder this spring as the Emerge Festival returns, bringing with it a whirlwind of colour, culture and creativity.
Spanning September and October, the beloved festival is back and bigger than ever, featuring more than 50 events designed to celebrate community spirit and showcase the diverse talent that calls the area home.
At the centre of the action is the Chatswood StreetFair – a full-blown takeover of the Chatswood CBD that turns the streets into a buzzing carnival of sights, sounds and surprises. Think more than 150 market stalls, five stages of non-stop live entertainment, a kaleidoscopic community parade, family-friendly rides, roving performers, furry friends, reptiles, circus fun, and so much more.
The iconic parade kicks off in the afternoon, winding its way from Chatswood Chase down Victoria Avenue and past The Concourse, pumping energy through the precinct as hundreds of community performers bring the party to life.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Across the festival’s packed programme, you’ll find everything from symphonic concerts and intimate lunch gigs to theatre, art, and cultural showcases like the Matsuri Japan Festival and Hongkongers’ Street Market.
Whether you’re in it for the music, the food, the family-friendly vibes or the cultural gems, Emerge Festival is your ticket to a season of celebration, right in the heart of Willoughby.
Emerge Festival is on from 1 September-12 October.
