Just in case sketching nudes wasn't enough to hold an artist's attention, Brisbane Life Drawing club, Delta of Venus, go the extra mile and add a theme to their monthly drawing sessions.
Last month participants visited the Victorian era, and before that were delighted with a 1950s Australian beach theme. This month: Jungle-Animal.
Attendees of all skill levels are encouraged to come along this month and embrace their inner animal by dressing to theme, enjoying jungle-inspired cocktails, and grooving to jungle beats pumped through a portable gramophone (as you do).
The model will begin dressed in an assortment of animal prints and accessories, but of course will slowly work her way to traditional art-nude.
The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at Brisbane's Southside Tea Room. Past months have been packed out, so book your tickets before you sharpen your pencils and organise your fur.
Delta of Venus Life Drawing Club's Jungle-Animal themed night is Thursday May 9 at Southside Tea Room.
