Bonnie Mullins' production ‘Faulty Fanny’s Cabaret’ and Louis Peake’s ‘Things Are Looking Up’ will share the limelight next month for a jam-packed night of musical comedy.

“If you like crude, rude humour, you'll be in for a treat. Nothing is off limits,” says Louis Peake. “You don't really expect dinosaurs to be wearing onesies and talking about sex or death, but they will be.
“We've got a collection of cabaret-type skits which are provocative but most of the time are just downright silly. I don't know if I particularly want to advertise this but there's a skit with a Catholic priest and a small child doing a tap dance. We've got Siamese twins and butt plugs, girls in outfits dancing on chairs and just a collection of things that I think will be more part entertaining than thought-provoking,” jokes Bonnie Mullins.

“They’re intimate pieces of performance. With my show, we've got my actors interacting with the audience. If they can go sniff them, bite them, scratch up against them, roar at them — it's fun and there’s less of a barrier between them and the audience,” says Peake.

“‘Faulty Fanny’s Cabaret’ is completely stereotypical and most of it is dancing, physical movement and singing. Audience interaction is encouraged which forces the actors to be able to think on their feet,” says Mullins.
Both the young creators are confident that the night will have the audience in stitches, and although they predict backstage there will be chaos, the night will prove to be successful. “Expect the unexpected,” says Peake.
