Award-winning performer Darren Criss will make a triumphant return to Australia for a series of shows across the country.
Darren is an Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Screen Actors Guild award-winning talent, with a career spanning television, film, music and stage. He’ll perform the hits of his career from ‘Glee’ to Broadway and more.
The performer shot to fame playing Blaine Anderson on TV phenomenon ‘Glee’, before a searing performance in Ryan Murphy’s ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’. . . But some might remember Darren from his creation of the hugely popular group StarKids in 2009, who gained a cult fanbase with ‘A Very Potter Musical’.
Meanwhile on Broadway, Darren replaced Daniel Radcliffe in ‘How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying’, and in 2015 he took over the title role in ‘Hedwig And The Angry Inch’. Just last year, Darren returned to Broadway to star opposite Laurence Fishburne and Sam Rockwell in ‘American Buffalo’.
His debut EP ‘Human’ debuted at the top of Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, with following EP ‘Homework’ making it to number seven on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. Following releases were his EP ‘Masquerade’ and debut full-length Christmas album ‘A Very Darren Crissmas’, the latter turning into a national US tour.
“My first show in Australia in 2018 was so much fun and I am looking forward to coming back with my friends and seeing more of the country,” Darren says. “We are taking things up a notch for this tour and I can’t wait to see everyone!”
