Modular and the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) have teamed up for the opening of the inaugural winter festival Dark Mofo.
Dark Mofo will take over the streets, cities and parks of Hobart from 13-23 June and will include live concerts and performances, large-scale art installations and even a Winter solstice skinny dip for those willing to brave chilly Tasmanian waters.
The exhibition will feature 100 Million Nights, an ethereal sonic and visual collaboration between Sydney dance duo Canyons and Sydney visual artist Daniel Boyd.
The art festival will also host a multitude of live performances from artists such as DZ Deathrays, Movement, Hermitude, Naysayer & Gilsun, Otologic, Super Wild Horses, The Drones and You Am I.
The Presets will also be performing on June 15, freshly returned from their 18 date North American tour.
The complete program for Dark Mofo will be available early May.
