Embodying wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony, the Expressions Dance Company ensemble of award-winning dancers will take you on a debaucherous journey through the seven deadly sins in this edgy, premiere production, spiced with villainous wit. The centrepiece of EDC's 2015 season, 'Seven Deadly Sins' will be the fifth signature collaboration between EDC and QPAC following the critically acclaimed productions 'R&J', 'When Time Stops' and 'The Red Shoes'.
Internationally acclaimed choreographer, Natalie Weir's unique insights into the human condition are explored and retold through electrifying contemporary dance in this age-old tale of the sinful nature of mankind. Spotlighting the inherent frailty and imperfections that exist in us all, 'Seven Deadly Sins' captures rich imagery, extravagant costumes and breath-taking movement that will grip your senses with its devilishly delicious adventure.

“EDC is committed to producing and showcasing exceptional dance and these large scale dance theatre productions have been so well received over the past five years,” Natalie Weir says.
“'Seven Deadly Sins' will be a celebration of the EDC dancers’ extraordinary physicality with explosive and daring dance alongside a poignant storyline. The production will feature a team of exceptionally talented creative designers including set and costume designer, Bill Haycock and lighting designer, David Walters. A beautiful electronic score will be composed by Darrin Verhagen.”
'Seven Deadly Sins' will be presented by EDC at QPAC from the 21-29 August, 2015.
