Notorious burlesque performer Jazida (Rachel Reid) is suspected to be responsible for the disappearance of a large sum of money. Can police catch her before it's too late?

'Catch Jazida' is an immersive two-person theatre performance (also starring Artemis Seven) bound to surprise audiences. Keep an eye on your wallet throughout it. . .

Here are five reasons Jazida must be caught.

One

Our noir detective has been tracking her for months! Jazida has been accused of stealing a large sum of money and our detective has been tracking her as she flees through every speakeasy, circus tent and burlesque bar in town. . . Rumour has it that upcoming Jazida sightings may be happening at the Canberra Theatre Centre, Connections Nightclub (in Perth) and Nexus Arts Centre (in Adelaide). If our detective doesn’t catch her soon, there’s going to be trouble from the boss!

Two

The staff at oversized luggage will miss her! 'Catch Jazida' is a theatre/dance piece that includes a LOT of props. The set design includes Venetian blinds! There are also regular feather fans, giant LED feather fans, a sword so big that she had to buy a case for an 88-key digital piano to transport it and many more. . . Every time this show goes on tour, there is a LOT of oversized luggage!

Three

Jazida is needed to continue teaching classes and workshops! Not only will her weekly classes at her school in Canberra be without a teacher, but Jazida is booked to be one of the feature headlining teachers on the Australian Burlesque Cruise 23 February-1 March! If she isn’t caught, who is going to teach all of her classes and fill her performance spots?!

The bubble tea industry needs Jazida! Her obsession with these Taiwanese tea-based drinks and their tapioca pearls is critical to keeping the industry alive! If you spot Jazida – make sure to try and catch her. She can easily be lured with the promise of a classic pearl milk tea!

The Canberra burlesque scene needs Jazida to be caught! Jazida is Canberra’s premier burlesque performer (holding multiple titles/awards and having represented Australia at the Burlesque Hall Of Fame in Las Vegas, headlined the Perth International Burlesque Festival and featured at the Australian Burlesque Festival). If she isn’t caught, they will need to find someone else to produce the annual Miss Burlesque ACT Competition! Her regular 'Decadence And Debauchery' variety nights will also be sorely missed!
