Featuring spectacular circus acts and live music, 'Cab Suave', a story told by queer artists (and a token straight white man with big bi-wife energy) is everything there is to love about vintage aesthetics. . . Just with less misogyny and more cute polycules.
For those new to the Sparkle Society party, they're a Brisbane-based circus group founded by queer artists, with a mission of creating inclusive and diverse work for audiences to enjoy. Their work at this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 'Cab Suave', is no exception. Follow Dick Johnson as he stops at nothing to dig dirt on Cabaret Suave, and find out. . . Will he succeed? Or will the performers of the glittering cabaret live to dazzle another day?
Before the rollicking fun begins at the festival, the folks at Sparkle Society list five ways to add more sparkle to your life. . . Naturally!
One
Sparkly mask. Here at 'Cab Suave' we understand the importance of wearing a face mask, and so of course our cast has matching sequinned masks! It definitely makes it easier to remember to wear a mask when it also makes you feel fabulous!

Eco glitter. We know we have a glitter-heavy approach to makeup, but even when we are making a subtler look for off stage we still love to add some glitter as highlight or to make your eyeshadow pop! We are big fans of local Aussie company The Glitter Tribe who make one of the only cosmetic glitters that is actually biodegradable in a natural environment.

A Sparkly playlist. Now we are going to start getting a little more metaphorical so bear with us. We love listening to our Sparkle Time playlist when we need a bit of a lift. There is nothing better than dancing round your kitchen to a pumping playlist to add some sparkle in your step.Four
Watching 'Cab Suave'. We’re not normally ones to toot our own horns, but when it comes to sparkle we can guarantee that 'Cab Suave' delivers. If you are looking for a bit more shine in your life you should definitely come and watch the show. If you need more than one sparkly show to see we can also recommend 'The Butch is Back' and 'Like A Virgo' for more sequinned goodness.

Sparkle as an attitude. Now we don’t want to sound like a tired wellness blog so hear us out. We love a sparkly attitude and are passionate about people feeling rocking in their own skin. 'Cab Suave' is all about the idea that anyone should feel able to live their best glittery life and shine in their own skin.
