You are Candy Warhol, and this is your factory.
Out comes the disco ball, up comes the volume of the music... It's time for Backbone's new monthly club night, Candy Social Club. Delish.
It's a night for audience and artist to become one, in an explosion of performance, music, drag, fashion, and art.
Backbone, now operating the old East Brisbane Bowls Club on 38 Lytton Road East Brisbane, has become a hub of eclectic activity with everything from punk to poetry happening on any night of the week.
The arts scene in Brisbane is one that is incredible and diverse. Candy Social Club is a place to celebrate this, providing a platform that elevates, amplifies, and brings together.

The inaugural Candy Social Club on 22 June went off with a snap, crackle and pop with headliner Sellma Soul, who was featured this year on 'The Voice'.
The next Candy Social Club will feature drag dance crew Thicc Shake Crew, and Brisbane’s premiere drag king Richie Lestrange for a 'Back To The Future' Dance Party with all of your favourite nostalgic hits.
Not only that, but there will be a performer’s lucky dip on the night – so if you’ve got something to share, put your name into the hat and you could get selected for your two minutes of fame!
Candy Social Club is on 20 July at Backbone Youth Arts.
