L-R: Kween Kong, Spankie Jackzon, Hannah Conda
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Hot off the runway of 'RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under' season two are the current top three finalists, icon Kween Kong, superstar Hannah Conda and current reigning 'Drag Race' winner Spankie Jackzon.

“The 'B.A.Bz World Tour' is definitely high camp, high glamour, high theatrics, high skill, it is definitely a melting pot of all three of us and our skill sets. But the overarching thing that ties it all together is this inherent sisterhood that we all have,” Kween Kong says of the show.

“It's about sisterhood, it's about how amazing the three of us are, and how incredibly, across all boards, we kind of tick all the boxes and so we bring that to the table and, you know, kick it in the dick every time.”

Audiences watched them battle it out for the crown, now it's time to come witness Down Under's best, in their debut tour. It's sure to be a night to remember for all who dare to enter this house of drag royalty.

As an ambassador for Adelaide Fringe this year, the timing of the production is particularly meaningful for Kween Kong.

“Adelaide Fringe has always been so close to my heart, because that's the first place I could really cut my teeth. In terms of drag, I was able to create a lane for myself, and actually really stick to what I wanted to do as an artist.

“I wasn't fortunate enough to receive many bookings outside of the festival when I was emerging, which is just mostly how the scenes work, and politics and all that. So I think Adelaide Fringe has always been near and dear to my heart.”

Category is: A Show Like No Other – serving looks, comedy, high energy choreography as well as insider tea. Kween, joined by her sisters Hannah and Spankie, will be giving it all they've got.

“We want to make 'Drag Race' and this calibre of drag accessible to all audiences. And so we want people to feel like they can achieve the possibility of ever going on a show like 'RuPaul's Drag Race'.

“Working with Spankie and Hannah is a dream, you know, very simple for me – it's an absolute dream. It does not feel like work. I think that between the three of us, I'm like the businessman and the person that sort of keeps us booked and looking for bookings. And the other two are just absolute, bloody f...in' powerhouse performers.”

Reflecting on her personal experience on 'RuPaul's Drag Race', Kween Kong says she never thought there'd be space for her on a show as huge as the global phenomenon – and that there was initial pressure based on her career up to that point.

“When I walked in, in episode one everyone knew my name. And they had this expectation of what they thought I was. And that's been something that I've had to deal with my entire career.

“I am a fierce performer and I'm fearless on that stage, but they don't get to see the complexities of what it means behind the scenes, in order for me to channel that massive monster on stage.”

The larger-than-life performer has never been more ready to hit the stage, and says Adelaide Fringe won't know what hit them. Audiences should expect to laugh their asses off and enjoy a smorgasbord of mind-blowing talent on a high-energy night. with 'Drag Race''s favourite new girl group, The B.A.Bz.

'B.A.Bz World Tour' plays Wonderland Spiegeltent at Wonderland Festival Hub - Hindmarsh Square (Adelaide Fringe) 8-18 March.
