Attenborough And His Animals Uses Light-Hearted Theatre For Serious Issues

'Attenborough And His Animals'
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Jaw-dropping scenes of the animal kingdom will be brought to life in the simplest ways during 'Attenborough And His Animals'.

We're all familiar with the caramel-smooth vocals of David Attenborough. Clownfish Theatre – without any props or set pieces – will aim to achieve the impossible, bringing blue whales, snakes, iguanas and more to the stage.

Thanks to the magic of clowning, physical comedy, mime and vocal sound effects, the theatre company's light-hearted approach will address issues such as habitat loss, climate change and pollution in a world on the brink of disaster.

Theatre makers Jess Clough-MacRae and Jonathan Tilley of Clownfish Theatre are known for their joyful, climate-conscious theatre and 'Attenborough And His Animals' – which is a premiere for Western Australia – will not be an exception to this rule.

Clownfish is a Bristol-based company aiming to raise awareness of climate breakdown and inspire action. 'Attenborough' has previously appeared at Adelaide Fringe and The Butterfly Club in Melbourne.

'Attenborough And His Animals' plays Chemistry at Girls School 28 January-9 February, and Home Economics at Girls School 1 February.
