An Intimate Evening With Faith Prince Brisbane Review @ QPAC

Faith Prince
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Having graced the stages of many an iconic Broadway production, had recurring roles in television shows like 'Modern Family' and 'Spin City', you could say that Faith Prince has just about done it all.

Her career spans more than 30 years and she took to the stage at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (4 October) to tell the stories of just a few of her many adventures in ‘An Intimate Evening With Faith Prince’.

Artfully intertwining classic Broadway tracks with stories from throughout her career, Faith had the audience captivated from start to finish. From discussing the chaos of one of her very first shows featuring a duck (yes, a real one!), to how she charmed her husband of 27 years, Faith approached every story with a brilliant sense of humour and unmatchable wit.

The intimacy of the Cremorne Theatre and minimalistic stage setting was perfect for the cabaret show and Faith’s storytelling style made audiences feel as if they were simply ‘catching up’ with her, in a good way.

Whether you’re a fan of Faith in her Tony Award-winning role as Miss Adelaide in ‘Guys And Dolls’, her brilliant portrayal of the sea witch Ursula in Broadway’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ or just have a love for musical theatre, ‘An Intimate Evening With Faith Prince’ had something for all kinds of people.

While she has been wowing audiences all around the world for more than three decades, Faith Prince’s talent, stage presence and vocal technique is stronger than ever. She’s not going anywhere!
