5 Spectacular Highlights Of The Pink Flamingo At Adelaide Fringe

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Queensland's famous The Pink Flamingo has been invited to Adelaide Fringe, and it's set to bring two spectacular shows to the celebrations.

The venue is inspired by the original 1920s Spiegeltent and the NYC Cabaret Club district, purpose-designed with all the comforts of a luxury first-class theatre.

First up at The Pink Flamingo is 'Zirque La La', a sexy, riotous circus cabaret show starring Monsieur Jerome and Ring Mistress LaLa, who have searched the four corners of the globe to bring Adelaide Fringe audiences the most magnificent, tantalising cirque acts ever.

Then there's 'Forbidden', encouraging audiences to unlock hidden desires, flirt with the taboo and peek into the world of feminine sensuality. It's a cabaret revue featuring stunning dancers, risque themes, and exotic performances.

Here, some of The Pink Flamingo's performers tease the shows, by listing five spectacular highlights.

One

“International stunt acts that will blow your mind! Just when you think you have seen it all – you will be shocked with the ‘fall off your chair’ visuals of a knife-throwing act that must be seen to be believed! Knives being thrown literally centimetres from a stunning long-legged blonde bombshell. The audience is certainly a sight to see with their hands over their eyes and hearing the terrified screams when those knives land so close!” - Rudi Testa (Lead Male)

Two

“The Pink Flamingo is not just about the show – it’s the entire experience! From the moment you are greeted at the doors, the party begins with the welcoming staff and the hilarious and talented characters.” - Riley Carter (Dancer/Aerialist)

Three

“I’ve been to many shows around the world, but nothing has so far matched this level of clever entertainment. The Pink Flamingo have created a unique, intimate, and spectacular offering. The crazy acts are just some of the best I have ever seen. I love how the audience are a part of the show. From the start till the end – we all become one! The interaction was one of my favourites.” - Aaron Hyde (Male Dancer/Acrobat)

Four

“The male and female dancers are not only absolutely stunning but super talented too. They all had extra individual skills and solo moments in the show which was really unique. They work so hard, from start to end and deserve those all too often standing ovations.” - Tiffany O'Connor (Lead Female Singer)

Five

“Wow, wow, wow – those costumes. So intricate and spectacular! The show and talent were enough but then layered with the most elaborate costumes had us mesmerised.” - Desko Amat (International Acrobat Artist)

'Zirque La La' and 'Forbidden' play The Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub (Adelaide Fringe) 16 February-17 March.
