Matt HortonWhat do you do?
I'm a digital artist and game designer.

Why do you do it?
I always wanted to make visually intense movies; one day I realised film was whack and games were the future.

What do you love about the city you live in?
Brisbane may not be the most cultured place, but we have the best weather and Sydney/ Melbourne can NEVER take that away from us.

Where did you go for your last holiday?
I went skiing in Japan, as I did the previous year. Next year I'm going skiing in Japan instead.

What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
I got a load of tailored shirts made in Vietnam, now I don't wear anything else. Shoutout to Blue Gecko in Hoi An.

What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
'Hogan's Heroes', but I had no idea what it was about.

If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
1977, Mann's Chinese Theater, opening night of 'Star Wars'.

If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Carbonara with a 1:1 bacon ratio.

What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Programming language elitism is complete bullshit.

Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
I've been stabbed five times; all by good friends; all with pencils.

Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
No, I waste a lot of time not working.

How do you define success?
Living within walking distance of the Beermuda Triangle (Green Beacon, Tippler's Tap, Newstead Brewing).

What's your spirit animal?
A Shiite cleric from Dubai.
