What do you do?
I'm an adventurer, a food lover and a fitness junkie. By day I work in the finance industry, but I fill the rest of my life with my passions of athletics coaching, travel and modelling; recently diving into the world of beauty pageants, I participated in the recent national final of Miss Universe Australia. Why do you do it?
Modelling is still a new pursuit of mine, and I found myself loving the new challenge after many years working in sport. The change was exactly what I needed! The Miss Universe pageant seemed like the perfect challenge for both my self confidence and new modelling career. As I progressed through the rounds I soon realised what a great opportunity this pageant presented, to use my passion for fitness to help women. What do you love about the city you live in?
The sunshine and the outdoors! The Gold Coast suits my active lifestyle and love for warm weather and the beach. Fitness is fast becoming more and more fashionable, and it's awesome to see so many people on the Gold Coast utilising the amazing waterfront paths and parks to keep active and healthy. It's so motivating!Where did you go for your last holiday?
I had the amazing opportunity to visit my sister while she was working in Singapore. What an incredible city – each thriving district was so interesting and different to the next. And the cuisine was to die for! The street-food market was my go-to spot for a quick and delicious feed. I also got my adrenalin fix while there, with the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Definitely an experience I would re-live!What's your favourite item of clothing?
Most definitely shoes. The amount I own is ridiculous! The combination of girl/ model/ athlete has resulted in copious amounts of heels, boots, joggers... the list goes on!What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
I absolutely loved 'The Adventures Of Tin Tin'.If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I would travel back to pre-historic times, and witness first-hand the way cavemen and women lived without the modern-day gadgets and comforts we take for granted. Also I would find it extremely interesting to see the paleo diet in action. (And let's not forget how incredible it would be to see a real dinosaur haha)If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Something fresh, healthy and full of flavour. Mexican is usually my pick! What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
To not worry so much about what other people think! When I was younger, I used to get too caught up with this, and as a result I let it spoil the times where I should have just let my hair down and be myself.Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody knows...
I have hopeless self-control when it comes to desserts and sweets. Even when on a stricter, healthy eating plan in the lead-up to events like Miss Universe, I still find excuses to sneak a little treat in here and there! Are you happy with your work/life balance?
I am so happy with my current balance! My day job is not excessively demanding, and leaves plenty of time for me to indulge in my true passions. As the saying goes, 'work to live' – not the other way around! How do you define success?
True success comes from within. If you are genuinely happy with what you have achieved and where you are at in life then you have already succeeded. Too many people worry about measuring their success against someone else's. Everyone is on their own path and no two lives are the same! What's your spirit animal?
A glow worm – shining from the inside out just makes life a better place :)
