What do you do?
I am the band booker and manager for Tram Sessions, a Melbourne initiative that puts bands on trams and films them travelling around Melbourne.
Why do you do it?
I have been a huge fan of Black Cab Sessions and Take Away shows for years, and as soon as I discovered Tram Sessions I begged Nick (co-creator) to get involved. Music has been a staple in my life since I can remember and getting the chance to begin my career in this industry is amazing.
What do you love about the city you live in?
I'm originally from Mosgiel, New Zealand so at first Melbourne was a HUGE change for me. I've been here for 5 years now and I love how easy it is to start a life here. I love the music scene and how supported up and coming artists are by the community aroud them. I love that a project like Tram Sessions can be supported by Yarra Trams - and have someone like Paul Kelly say yes to playing, and I especially love the cafes.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
A scarf that I found at an op-shop back in NZ years ago. I can't wear it anymore as it's in pretty bad condition but I refuse to throw it out!
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
Back to the 60's to see The Beatles play -If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us? Enchiladas or some form of Mexican food, I eat it almost every day.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
The way you think your life will pan out when you're younger, probably won't happen. Which leads to even better things.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
I've read the Harry Potter series about 4 times over.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
For me work involves, listening, watching and working with music. I am absolutely happy with my work/ life balance.
What's your spirit animal?
A dolphin, I have a re-occuring dream that I am a dolphin. It's amazing.
