“I was delighted to be part of this inaugural event, to share conversations with songwriters, authors and journalists and to enjoy the robust and public exchange of ideas,” Deborah Conway says.

“As a model I haven’t encountered one like it before but the underlying benefits of elevating the art of popular songwriting alongside other written art forms is to generate more discourse which, as a songwriter I naturally welcome.”

The Rock & Roll Writers Festival is a unique, cultural experience that will rock your world and be a whole lot of fun. Avid Reader (onsite bookstore) and Sonic Sherpa (retailer of vinyl, CDs and all things music) return as retail partners in 2017.

The 2017 Rock & Roll Writers Festival takes place at The Old Museum (Brisbane) 1-2 April.
