Applications For 'Girls Rock! WA' Now Open

We’re beyond excited to officially open applications for the first ever Girls Rock! camp in WA, which lands at Leederville TAFE 14-18 January 2019.

The week-long day camp will include instrumental instruction, band rehearsals, workshops and fun activities designed to empower and inspire aspiring young female, trans, and non-binary musicians aged 11-17; with a special showcase performance at Mojos on Saturday 19 January capping off the week.

Local musicians Lucy Peach and Tanaya Harper, and RTRFM breakfast presenter Taylah Strano are among the volunteers on board, along with some very special surprise guests to be revealed.

Free Songwriting Workshops In Bunbury

In partnership with Healthway promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message, WAM are pleased to present a series of free songwriting workshops leading into WAM’s Song Of The Year competition.

The first will kick off in Bunbury this summer as part of the Across The Road Summer Music Festivals happening on Saturday 24 November, Saturday 19 January and Saturday 9 February.

They present a unique opportunity for aspiring artists to explore the creative process, connect with others, and learn about the craft of songwriting from established WA artists like Riley Pearce who leads the first session.
