The Cat Empire have announced a 2018 Australian tour.
One of Australia's finest purveyors of upbeat, feel-great, festival vibes is The Cat Empire. And they're back.
Fresh off two months in the studio recording a new batch of tunes, the party band that will keep you dancing for hours are bringing their massive bag of funky, rollicking songs to stages nationwide kicking off at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in June, then touring throughout September before finishing with two dates at The Cat Empire Carnivale in Fremantle in December.
Along for the ride will be rising star Odette, whose debut single 'Watch Me Read You' has nearly 4 million streams on Spotify and landed at #56 on triple j's Hottest 100 list in January.
'The Cat Empire are one of Australia’s most celebrated musical outfits both at home and abroad, selling more tickets annually than any other Australian band. Testament to the quality of their musicianship, showmanship, unstoppable energy and generosity as performers, they have sold well over 2.5 million albums and are loved around the globe for their melody driven, mood-lifting music.'
As The Cat Empire enter the next chapter of their storied career (that started in 1999 and features six studio album) say 'Hello' to the band whose 'unchartered hybrid of jazz, ska, funk, indie and rock' will have you beaming with joy.
