Nick Murphy tours his new album 'Run Fast Sleep Naked' in May.
Nick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker) has announced three exclusive May shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane following the release of his single 'Sanity'.
Self-aware lyrics strung together with bright piano melodies, off-kilter beats and radiant synth lines, the recent release from Murphy introduces the new era of his music, releasing details of his first full-length album 'Run Fast Sleep Naked', which is to be released Friday 26 April.
As his first release since his 2014 debut album 'Built on Glass', the seven-time ARIA Award winner will be taking on the three exclusive shows to showcase his past and present collection of music.
With four years in the making, 'Run Fast Sleep Naked' was first constructed during Murphy's travels, recording vocal tracks in spaces and environments that inspired him most, recorded solo with a microphone packed in his suitcase.
Fleshed out with musical components recorded at Figure 8 in Brooklyn, the album is said to be a body of unexpected textures and wildly varied tones.
In light of his tour, Nick Murphy has partnered with organisation Plus1. $1 from each ticket purchased will go to organisations to bring dignity, equity and access to communities who need it.
