The event, a fashion and glamour contest, was open to the public and ran concurrently with the thoroughbred horse events in the Main Arena. Now, the hugely popular event will return again in 2017 to provide an opportunity for the fashion-forward ladies and gentlemen of Queensland to don their most stylish formal spring race wear, strutting their stuff in the Main Arena.
Presented by Jetts Fitness, Fashions On The Field is supported and attended by celebrities, State and Federal politicians, members of the racing industry and other business leaders.
Ringing true to many of the competitions held at race days across the country, the fashionable entrants will be put through their paces by a panel of prestigious circuit judges across the five categories:
- Best Female Ensemble (18-40yrs)
- Best Female Ensemble (40yrs +)
- Best Male Ensemble
- Best Headwear (Unisex)
- Best Victorian Period Piece (Unisex)
The event's total prize pool is valued at a stunning $20,000, and includes Jetts Fitness memberships, iBeauty Medispa treatments, NAK Hair gift packs, Rydges Fortitude Valley Accommodation, Bouquet Boutique flowers and Hat Academy and Victoria Park Golf vouchers. All entrants will also walk away with an exclusive bespoke gift bag.
Entrants of the Fashions On The Field Competition will also be invited to a special luncheon, where for $60 they will receive a two-course meal following the winners presentations held at the Royal Queensland Steakhouse presented by JBS Australia.
