Painting Brisbane green, white and red, 'An Italian Affair' will turn the town into a sea of Italian-themed festivities for the ninth edition of Italian Week.
The Italian Street festival will be held at the historical New Farm Park with a family-friendly atmosphere, featuring all the wonderful offerings of Italy such as delicious Italian food and wines, operas, bands, children's activities, Italian cars and much more. Throughout the course of the day at this free event, close to 100 performers will entertain the crowds.
Traditionally very Italian, New Farm Park will celebrate its 100th anniversary of the rotunda in the park this year, so this will be a perfect way to mark the occasion.
Just one event out of the many on offer during Italian Week, you can also catch films screening at the New Farm cinemas, enjoy Italian Opera in the park and the Italian photography exhibition, taste Italian cooking and take food masterclasses, toe-tap to dancing exhibitions, be inspired by an Italian fashion parade bringing looks straight from the catwalks of Milan, cruise around the motor vehicle exhibition, bask in the sun and listen to music, see performances and keep the bambinos entertained with activities.Italian Week will be held around Brisbane, 26 May - 2 June. 'An Italian Affair' takes place in New Farm Park, 31 May.
