Gather your tribe... The She Is Me Festival is here.
It's all about self-acceptance, community, music, food, and wine, and has a focus on women's rights and the may and varied journeys that women have endured over the years.
The festival opening will also introduce new book and exhibition 'Through Her Eyes' by Libby Tozer.
Here, the She Is Me squad pen an open letter about the event.
“The She Is Me Festival was created as part of The She Is Me Movement which is a series of projects with a focus on women’s journeys, body image and shifting perceptions.
Indie author and photographer Libby Tozer is the founder of the movement who’s work aims to helps women to feel wholly beautiful in their own skin.
Since 2018, over 150 women participated in photo shoots as part of the She Is Me Movement, many of these women's photos will appear in the book 'Through Her Eyes' which is being released on 6 July at the She Is Me Festival.
Early in 2019, over $15,000 was raised via a successful kickstarter campaign to print 'Through Her Eyes'. The book already has wholesalers in both Australia and Canada.
